Kenya: Teacher's Union Issues Strike Notice

Government has 28 days to pay over three billion shillings pension owed to more than 52 thousand teachers who retired between 1997 and 2005.

KNUT chairman Wilson Sossion says there will be dire consequences if government does not respond within 28 days. He says the retired teachers have neither received their pension nor any communication from the government on the cause of the delay.
