Private oil, gas workers call for national strike30 Oct 12 Laborstart The Argentine Federation of Oil and Gas, which represents workers of private hydrocarbon companies, called for an indefinite nationwide strike starting tomorrow to protest the lack of response to their wage demands. Likewise, the unions warned that the strike could result in a "shortage" of gas supply. The masure was confirmed by the head of the union, Alberto Roberti, who indicated the strike will begin once the mandatory settlement meeting that had been issued by the Ministry of Labour for tomorrow finishes. "So, far, there's been no response of the companies to our wage demands", denounced Roberti in a radio interview. |
