CTA to defend minimum wage ‘ till death’ tomorrow23 Aug 11 Laborstart CTA’s head Hugo Yasky assured today the Workers Union will defend the minimum wage till “death” tomorrow when the Unions, businessmen and the government head to the negotiation table to discuss the issue. “The workers have to sort this out,” and added that, in La Rioja Province, workers charge 1,200 pesos, less than the legal wage. “I trust we can form a new Union’s movement, keeping individual autonomy, individual decisions, though we have to reach joint positions. In Brazil, for instance, you have five unions fighting together,” he highlighted. “We will fight till death for the minimal wage to be respected in the entire country,” he emphasized. |
