Unions in talks to retain Air Tahiti Nui boss11 Jul 11 Laborstart Four of French Polynesia’s main unions have met the leadership of Air Tahiti Nui amid a row over the fate of the carrier’s CEO, Cedric Pastour. They have said they will hold a one-day strike on July the 11th in his support after it was reported that his dismissal is expected to be confirmed next week. Last week, a five-day strike by some crew members ended with them saying that they expected the airline’s board to sack Mr Pastour following a dispute over the disciplining of two staff members. The original strike was called by some crews opposing any punishment of two of their colleagues who had assaulted an American Airlines employee in a Tokyo hotel.
