Public workers strike in Algeria

Algerian public sector workers on Wednesday (April 6th) mounted a general strike to demand higher wages and improved conditions, El Watan reported. According to the National Autonomous Union of Public Administration Personnel (SNAPAP), the protest was observed by 84% of its members.

Also Wednesday, Algerian medical interns continued their sit-in outside the Presidential Palace in El Mouradia.
