Polyplex Europa in Turkey is a wholly-owned subsidairy of India company Polyplex Corp. that first sacked 6 workers late in 2010 for trade union activity and then later sacked 15 others for exhibiting union sympathies inside a polyester film plant.

The 250-worker plant in Corlu province is a target by leading Turkish chemical and energy union, Petrol-Is, for recruitment and the union's organising efforts were succeeding inside the Polyplex Europa factory.

While the fired workers protest in front of the plant (with overwhelming support from workers on the inside), Petrol-Is is demanding recognition, trade union rights, a mutually acceptable collective agreement, and reinstatement of the 21.

By registering your protest with the Indian company, you are promoting organising rights in Turkey as well as supporting recruitment initiaitves by Petrol-Is.
