The Train Conductors' Union La Fraternidad announced that a strike will be carried out on Tuesday that will paralyze train services in all of Argentina, in order to show their solidarity towards employees from the FEPSA railway company, part of the Techint company, who were unable to agree on and solidify raises in salaries this year.

The measure will affect thousands of persons who use these services daily as a means of transportation, mainly on their way to and from work, mainly in Buenos Aires City where different railway lines transport more than one million passengers a day.

"Techint is the only company that did not sign agreements. We were able to do so, but Techint's stubbornness has led us to take this course of action," said the head of La Fraternidad, Omar Maturano.

The measure coincides with a strike already being carried out by FEPSA employees for the past nine days.
