PUBLIC HEALTH PRACTITIONERS SUSPEND THEIR STRIKE

ALGIERS, March 28 (NNN-APS): Public health practitioners on Saturday have decided to suspend their strike, started few months ago, announced the leaders of the two striking unions, namely the National Union of Public Health Practitioners (SNPSSP) and the National Union of Public Health Specialists (SNPSP).

“We have decided to suspend our strike with the possibility to hold national rallies, as the first is scheduled for 3 April at Mustapha-Pacha Hospital,” the presidents of the SNPSP and SNPSSP, respectively Lyes Merabet and Mohamed Yousfi declared at a press briefing.

These decisions were made after the meetings of the national councils of the two striking unions, held on Thursday and Friday, and the joint meeting held on Saturday morning.
