Chaiyasit Trachutham selected as Appeals Court president

The Judicial Commission Monday selected Chaiyasit Trachutham, president of the Appeals Court Region 1, as the president of the Appeals Court, a senior judicial official said.

Sarawut Benjakul, deputy secretary-general of the Office of the Judicial Affairs, said the commission also selected Supachai Somcharoen, a senior judge of the Supreme Court, as the president of the Appeals Court Region 1.

The commission also selected Pithak Khonchan, a senior judge of the Supreme Court, as the chief of the Supreme Court's Election Cases Division.

The commission also selected Direk Ingkhaninan, a senior judge of the Supreme Court, as the chief of the Supreme Court's Labour Cases Division.

Their appointments have yet to be confirmed by a royal command.
