The Labour ministry is hosting Saturday meetings between job-seekers and prospective employers until March 28.
Department of Employment director-general Pichai Akepitakdumrong said the project had registered 4,500 job-seekers on its first day yesterday and 45 companies with 10,000 vacant positions, besides 135,804 positions with employers who did not attend. Job-hunters can also contact an e-job centre at their local Employment Office or call the hotline 1694.
He said 2,498 participants had applied for vocational training as entrepreneurs at the event, which would initially provide 205 jobs and eventually 800.
